Trust & Safety
Draft — last updated July 2026
Verifying Bros
Every Bro will go through ID verification (via a provider such as iDIN, Onfido, or Veriff) before they can be booked. Beyond ID checks, the application process will include a short video introduction, references, and an interview — screening specifically for comfort holding boundaries warmly but firmly, which matters more here than in most marketplaces given the platform facilitates in-person meetings.
Two-sided reviews
Both sides build a trust record over time. Guests review Bros, and Bros review guests, visible on profiles after a completed booking — so reputation runs in both directions, not just one.
Reporting & moderation
Anyone will be able to report inappropriate behavior or solicitation quickly, in-app. Reports will be handled against a written moderation SOP — who reviews them, target response times, and a clear escalation and ban process — so "we'll look into it" actually means something.
Zero tolerance
Book A Bro is a companionship platform for non-sexual, activity-based experiences only. Solicitation of sexual services is met with an immediate and permanent ban. We're building a detection approach (user reports plus flagged keywords in messages) rather than relying on reports alone.
If something goes wrong
A dispute resolution and refund policy will cover no-shows, cancellations, and safety incidents, including how escrow funds are released or refunded. We're also considering in-app safety features like check-in prompts and an easy way to share your meeting details with a friend before a booking.
